UK weather: Britain faces THREE MONTHS of snow as forecaster predicts long winter with sub-zero temperatures

Britain could be plunged into a long, cold Game of Thrones style winter with up to THREE MONTHS of snow.
Freezing storms could lock the UK into sub-zero temperatures for 12 weeks over a four month period according to one long-range forecaster.
A forecaster has warned the country faces the worst snowfall for years – after one of the mildest winters on record in 2015.
The prediction said Britain could be hit by persistent snow for up to four months.

They also suggested a White Christmas could be in the offing as the elongated blizzard hits between November and February.
Exacta Weather’s James Madden said: “Despite the much warmer than average but unsettled summer and the warm start to autumn, people should not be lulled into a false sense of security.

“Throughout this winter we fully expect some quite potent wintry blasts from as early as November for the northern half of the country, and even the southern half of the country can expect some prolonged wintry weather at times.”
